SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)

Mrs Normington is the  SENCO and Inclusion Leader. She coordinates the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities policies and procedures. Daniel Flach is the Link Governor for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Additional support is also provided through EAT (Excalibur Academy Trust) and the SENCO at St John's, Sarah Cardy.

A revised SEN Code of Practice came into effect in September 2014. In line with this new practice, the following information is available below: our revised SEN policy, our SEN Information Report and our Disability Action Plan (2014-17). These outline the policies, procedures and practices. For your further information, we have also uploaded the DFE's guide to SEN reforms. We are continuing to upgrade our facilities in line with our Disability Action Plan.

Wiltshire Council has also produced information to support parents. This is a statutory requirement as part of the Code of Practice. It is called the Local Offer and it is available by accessing the following website page: http://www.wiltshirelocaloffer.org.uk.

If parents have any questions or concerns and wish to seek independent advice, WISA can provide support and help (see below for contact details).

If you want to find out more, please speak to Mrs Normington or your child's class teacher.
