Welcome to Oare Church of England Primary School- part of the Excalibur Academies Trust

Oare is a happy and vibrant school where we value, nurture and support individual members of the school community. We became an academy on the 1st of April 2015, joining Burbage, Easton Royal and Ogbourne primaries and St John's, Marlborough within the Excalibur Academies Trust (EAT).  St Katharine's and Great Bedwyn C of E Primary School have since joined the trust too.

Within our school we seek to explore, learn from  and implicitly follow the Christian values in an atmosphere of mutual respect and tolerance .

We are committed to the development of the 'whole child' - to encompass their learning, spiritual and emotional growth .

We recognise that each child is an individual and as a result has different learning styles. We celebrate and value achievement regardless of its nature or size, being able to write neatly after struggling to hold a pencil correctly, or sounding out words when you find reading difficult  is just as important as being able to catch a ball for the first time without dropping it , create an imaginative piece of descriptive writing or finally understanding how to carry out division and get the correct answer.

As a school we strive to provide a high standard of education for all our children. We believe passionately in every child’s entitlement to high quality learning, and work hard to achieve this aim. We work closely with parents and carers to achieve the very best provision that we can.

We appreciate that the education of your child is extremely important to you and all the staff and Governors at Oare believe passionately in providing the very best that they can. We would be privileged to work with you and your child  at the start of and during  their  academic career. If you want to know more please get in touch.

Excalibur Academy Trust (EAT)

We are part of Excalibur Academies Trust (EAT), which includes St John's one of our 'outstanding' local secondary schools. We work closely together to create common policies and approaches to learning, as part of the 'all-through' curriculum. If you wish to find out more about EAT's admission policies, including the current priorities offered to pupils from Oare, please access the link below.

We hope you find our website interesting and informative. If you wish a paper copy of any of the information, this can be provided, free of charge. Equally, if you need a translation, audio or Braille version, we will provide this for you.

Thank you for showing an interest in our school. If you wish to make a visit, we'd be happy to welcome you. Please make an appointment via the school office: admin@oare.wilts.sch.uk
